Pi-Pis and Poo-Poos
Big day on Sunday. The nugget found his Pee-Pee!! His penis. Jeez! We were giving him his evening bath and all of a sudden he just grabbed it. Been doing it ever since. He's a little rough with the poor thing, but I think he'll pull through. NO PUN INTENDED!
The entire long weekend was rather delightful in fact. We, the family unit, went to Wales to the Mister's parent's cottage. Had lovely sunny weather, lots of great pub meals and a much needed dose of greenery. We also enjoyed Pims and lemonade in the garden while the nugget frolicked in the grass. What could be better than getting trashed while your child amuses himself? Fine. I didn't really get trashed. But the nugget did amuse himself. Twice I guess, what with his new discovery and all.

Stop Gap
Stopped in Gap today while waiting for a friend, and stumbled upon their new fragrances. I didn't even know they HAD new fragrances. The last ones I remember were Grass, Sky (at least I think there was one called Sky), Clouds...you know, from like 1997. So I took a whiff of Close and Stay. I was immediately transported back to high school. In a good way. I mean, don't get me wrong, the fragrances aren't particularly nice. They smell a bit cheap and knock-offy. But at the same time, so familiar. Comforting and nostalgic. Couldn't get enough!

OFFICIALLY GROSSED OUT!
Sooo... remember when I thought that the Portobello Road Tesco was the most foul place in London? Well I take it back. The prize now goes to the Ladbroke Grove Post Office. Ticks all the boxes and then some. Sketchy gross smelly people, mainly wreaking of alcohol, unhelpful employees, disorganized spaces and lines, the list goes on. That's all. Just thought I'd share. The Kensington Church Street Post Office is well worth the walk.
Nope the nugget pic has nothing to do with the post office, or the subject line for that matter. I mean, honestly, look at him. Who needs an excuse?

The Bill PLEASE
Majorly productive Friday! Really can't believe it! First of all the sun came out and the sky was blue, so just that alone put a smile on my face (even though I could see the nuggets little breath as we went for afternoon stroll.) But I digress. So many activities today. Got in a workout at the gym, bought cards, presents, fungal cream (for the nugget obviously)... all sorts of things. AND, I managed to get an eyebrow wax at Strip and a mani at Scin. Rodeo Drive by Chanel. Total IT colour for Spring. And brace yourselves... the nugget was with me the WHOLE time! Yup that's him on the floor at Scin flirting with all the spa gals. With one sock on.
Then to top off our excellent afternoon, as I was loading the stroller into the wagon, Bill Granger walked right by me!! AHHH - if you somehow don't know who Bill is - he's my Australian chef obsesh! I would have said hi actually, but Bill seemed kinda down. Or kinda drunk. Not sure, but either way it was kinda upsetting for me.
Rest of the week was more of the usual. Lunch at Ping Pong and Gails... Falafel from the Falafel King on Portobello and saw The Tourist at The Electric. A fun light film. Love that J Depp ALWAYS.

I'll Have the Bowl of Water LaPLEASE!
Happy to report we had a delightful weekend! Kicked things off with lunch on Friday with my friend Carla at La Pain Quotidien. Food was delish, but the service was abysmal and somewhat strange. We asked for tap water. Twenty minutes later two soup bowls of luke warm water were plunked down in front of us with no explanation. Turns out they ran out of glasses, but I mean who doesn't just say that? I thought they were getting all fancy and giving us finger dippers.
Saturday I just hung with the fam and baked a chocolate tort. The Mister made an amazing pork roast and we caught up on our TV. Sunday, had some friends over for a vegetarian feast and then an impromptu playdate with some other new parent friends! All in all two thumbs up. (We are of course skipping over the hour the nugget spent crying because he suddenly refuses to take his bottle. Oh and his 2am feeds that he has recently decided to throw into the mix. I mean why not, right?)

Queens La Park
Yesterday the nugget and I explored a new area in London - Queens Park - with other local yummy Christa. LOVED IT! Of course it helped that it was sunny and warm out for the first time in DECADES. (Check out the spring-like lilies blooming on my table!) We had a delightful lunch at Gails - they have one of those in Notting Hill, so you know it's good. Then a stroll through the park, which has a petting zoo, ping pong tables and a pool. JAMAZING. Finished the afternoon off with carrot cake at Jacks Cafe. All in all, I'd say I'd go back.
NOW, in case you thought I had forgotten, last night I took things to a whole new level. Yup. I had a dream about the hightops. I decided to host a press event so I could contact Margiela to get fragrance samples for goody bags. Don't think Margiela makes a fragrance, but anyway, I therefore had to get in touch with their PR, build a relationship and gain access to their discount. All for the sneaks. Kinda brilliant for being unconscious if you ask me!

Rain Rain GO AWAY!
Having an I HATE London day. Well I had an I hate London moment as I attempted to maneuver the nugget down the millions stairs from our flat, through the rain to the car where I keep the pram...because of the STAIRS. Couldn't strap him into the car-seat (attaches to the pram) as I had him in a snowsuit... because of the RAIN! I was only mildly placated by my fab outfit today, a lovely lunch at new fan fave Ukai with another yummy and a free fringe trim!
Yesterday worked out at the gym and left the nugget at the creche again. When I arrived to pick him up, I found him snoozing amongst a chaos of kids in a little bouncy chair. BLESS. Second activity of the day, I had to take him for two more immunizations. Hated it obvio. He snoozed and whimpered for the remainder of the afternoon. Was kinda nice though as he slept on my chest for over an hour.
And on a totally different note. I was OBSESSED with the Gwenyth Paltrow Glee episode. OBSESSED!
